timo_heubach 0 Posted March 18, 2004 This is actually one of the rare shots here where I relly feel like being in the scene my self! It's fantastically composed and almost no part seems to conflict with any other part of the photograph. Nice work! Link to comment
jos www.inpix.biz 0 Posted March 19, 2004 This is like some of the images (more like thoughts) of places I'd like to be. Very Nice feel to the photo...warm summers breeze. Link to comment

havanai 0 Posted March 19, 2004 I am curious about your Neutral Density Graduated filter. When I first looked at this, I thought you had use a flash to brighten the foreground. While overall this is a wonderful image, I think the foreground is too bright. It is too obvious that something has been done to brighten the immediate foreground relative to the rest of the image. "What's the light source from behind the photographer?", I asked. After reading your comment on the NDG filter, I now understand that the top and distant portion of the image was darkened. I forget the terms describing the soft/smooth/gradual or hard/sharp/distinct nature of the gradation of the NDG filter. Did you filter have the harder-edged change from filtered to clear? I wonder if an NDG filter with a softer more gradual gradation from gray to clear would have worked better. Nicely conceived and capture image, except for the overly bright close foreground. the grey house 0 Posted March 19, 2004 Wonderful depth and beautifull rich colouring to this - fantastic landscape, deservedly top of the top photos. This level of quality is what I aspire to, although a long way off. Regards Paul... Link to comment

ville laukkanen 0 Posted March 19, 2004 Like the others have also pointed out, the colours are marvelous!! In addition to that, the whole composition is excellent. Congratulations for this superior piece of art! Link to comment
phalvorson 0 Posted March 30, 2004 I feel like a 1-stop GND would have been better. Even as is, it has a lot of dramatic effect and the ratings show approval. How do you feel the soft GND works with your DSLR's 1.5 conversion factor, is the spread to far to be optimal or is it ok? Link to comment
