hess 0 Posted July 26, 2013 Alf, thanks a lot for your explanation and clarification. It absolutely makes sense to me now and I am a little sorry for not having accepted your invitation to a little walk around immediately. Best regards, Alex Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted July 26, 2013 Many Thanks for your thoughts and positive feedback, much appreciated! It was a lovely morning, and the clear calm waters of North Wales were a delight to view. Unfortunately the midges wouldn't settle for just drinking water and consequently I was eaten alive, but I still wouldn't have missed it for anything : - ) Warm Regards Alf RAY You are quite right about the waterproof boots! The hills are like giant sponges and even when they look dry, they are not. It soon becomes apparent when you put your weight on the soft marshy surface.Glad you enjoyed viewing this Ray!Many Thanks & Best Regards Alf ALEX Its always a real benefit to get good honest feedback, it really does help when I consider future similar compositions, and consequently I value your imput highly.Although I'm glad the explanation I responded with allowed clarification of my intentions, I think your initial comments identified a weakness in the image that I can learn from. Sincere Thanks & Best Regards Alf Link to comment

alfbailey 3 Posted July 28, 2013 The sacrifice of blood (to those pesky midges) and sleep was worth it to just be there and see it. A wonderful location.Sincere thanks for your interest and kind words! Best Regards Alf Link to comment
