svend erik poulsen 0 Posted July 19, 2013 Hmm - I like this portrait. I think because of the way it leaves much to the spectator. Not as hardcore portrait as could be expected. Nice to look at. Link to comment
sideris 0 Posted July 19, 2013 There is something magnetic in her expression, indecipherable, with a hint of anguish. This is an emotional portrait beyond any technical analysis, and this fact is the backbone of every honest photograph.Only one detail is bothering me, there are several white pixels out of context, the most evident on the upper lip beside her nose, the other (a bit smaller) beside his eye, two more on her shoulder, one or two on her forehead right side, others on her hair and the background, etc. Those pixels seems as a defect of the camera sensor (perhaps dead photosites or something like that), I guess you can fix it by cloning. However, a very good bw render. michael_barnes5 0 Posted July 19, 2013 Just to update. This is shot on film but a scanned negative...I hadn't had the chance to clean this up yet. Link to comment
divo 0 Posted July 19, 2013 In general, I like it. I guess it depends on your intent (natural capture vs. full-blown portrait), but I would probably put a bit more focus on the eyes with some creative dodging. Link to comment
