EYES IN THE BACK OF YOUR HEAD

I think this is a short-eared owl, and if so, it spends a lot of time on the ground.  Still, to capture the moment when it is scanning the skies is very fortunate, and it has resulted in an interesting owl portrait.

Very nice subject with details well seen in large view,shamrock flowers look so good all around,an attractive point is the eye with its color,is a hunter and this posture shows this.

Very well chosen DOF, and I expect you were still using the EF 75-300 as you were in the close up. If so, again it appears you have probably exceeded what most users have done with that particular lens!

Very beautiful portrait; I love the yellow eyes brought out even more by the yellow flowers scattered through the field. The flowers give an innocent aspect to this gorgeous predatory creature - it's a unique setting and not what one usually sees. Excellent work with beautiful color, detail and light. Thank you for sharing. :)
