Black Hole

Again, not quite sure this one works as an abstract, or something totally

different (but what?).

You already nailed it.........why it works that is.

It's the black hole itself......dark, infinite depths, lines leading to the inextricable destiny, a fate that lay waiting for the brave adventurer......or perhaps just a worm : - )

Very different, very simple, but quite compelling!

I like this a lot. The extreme close-up gives this apple a whole different feeling, something akin to a moon landing.. I think the heavy black frame works well here.
