This image was shot near the top of Grouse Mountain. He had just

climbed out of a small pond. If you look just above his head you'll see the

ears and nose of another. Thanks for viewing.

It took me a while to spot the second one!

A formidable looking creature, and you have isolated it so well in the clearing amongst all that vegetation.

It must have been quite an experience to come so close to these amazing creatures in a natural setting.

Alf......Grouse Mountain is a ski hill that over looks the city of Vancouver. These two bears were orphaned cubs that were brought up here around 2001 and live in an enclosed area that must be close to a few acres. My wife and I had dinner and then took the 5 min walk to the enclosure. The toughest part was fighting off the mosquitos that came out after the sun went down. Quite the safari. Best regards, Bob.
