gunnar1664882369 1 Posted July 11, 2013 The pose is excellent for this wonderful portrait. I very much like the colourful background, works well with the dog. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 12, 2013 ;)Lovely delicious expression.Technically:1 inch crop of the top for composition. You used 50 mm F/1.8 fully open (looks like - correct me if I'm wrong) of a SLR lens.Great DOF.However the muzzle is OOF.Human portrait require a 2.8. If they are two, use 4.0.A dog looking at you is like two.And the closer you are, the closest the aperture. Macros are shot even in 11 or 22.Hope this helps, my little one.Up the Irons !!! avitalmontaguslonim 0 Posted August 1, 2013 ML mm Joaos, nebojsta, Gunnar, James, Florin, Ruud, David, Trisha - Thank you so much for stopping by . and for the encouraging comments! joaos, you are right about the eye! I did not notice this. Thanks for pointing it out to me. I will have to fix it.Florin, yes! you are completely right! Thank you so much for the advice about the apertures. Very very useful to know. I did lknow opening the aperture to its widest is not typically suggested, though forgot this with this specific shot. I did not know the aperture you suggested for the different portraits. This will be very avaliable thing for me to know when i next shoot ppl\dogs! Link to comment
