There is something a little otherworldly about this image. The boat itself seems almost part of the sand, or formed from it. It looks sort of animate, animalistic. It also reminds me of a tribal mask from centuries ago. This part of the image contrasts with the more naturalistic top half. I would crop much of the clouds. The image is, for my tastes, far too dark, particularly the clouds and sky. It is a common trend these days to go for as much drama and contrast in the sky as is possible, but sometimes this is to the images detriment. I think a focus on the boat and its ambiguities would make a far more interesting image, perhaps with a crop just below the first bank of clouds?. Anyway, really intrigued by this one, thanks.

I like it a lot! Though i see what Scott is saying and somewhat agree.

If focus of the photo is the boat, then it might help to crop some of the sky out a bit (not all). When I first looked at the picture i noticed the sky/clouds/sun first, then the boat. Maybe crop it around the sun area?

Still, really like it.
Cheers.

A difficult shot to expose well and you've done it!  The only downfall in the photo are the slightly annoying footprints in the sand.
