Two kayakers on their way up Kintla Lake in the NW portion of Glacier

National Park. It had been raining, so fog and very low clouds were

coming and going. I used a digital GND filter to slightly darken the top and

lighten the bottom portions of the frame. Your comments and suggestions

would be appreciated. Thanks.

One of the first things that struck me is that you managed to capture synchronised movement of the kayakers, that in itself adds to the great sense of adventure.

They also add scale to the amazing scenery and the proportions seem to be right too. I don't think you could have composed the image any better.

The use of the digital GND filter seems to have balanced the light without any ill effects (I use the one in Adobe Lightroom ocassionaly)

Suffice to say I can't think of anything to suggest by way of improvement.

The only thing that could have made the image better would have been a flat calm lake with the consequential reflections and more noticeable wake behind the kayaks, but of course that was out of your hands.

Compliments!

Alf and Joao, thanks for the comments.  I took several photos as they paddled away, but the first one was the best IMO, simple because the kayakers were more prominent.

Checking the map, you were so close to the border with Canada there :-) - TFS!

I've heard of people refer to Montana as 'God's Country'  and it sure looks that way!

Tm, this is quite close to the Canadian border -- Glacier is part of the International Peace Park.  Montana is also known as Big Sky country, and it's easy to see why when one is traveling in the central and eastern portions of the state.  Sight distances are very long, and small mountain ranges can be seen on the distant horizon in nearly every direction.
