I understand the desire to protect your images from internet pilferage but this isn't even a watermark, it's just typing, largely advertising, typed right in the middle of your photograph.  This isn't good practice and there are far more graceful ways of protecting your photography.  Advertising (your web address) typically goes on the mat with your copyright information subtly placed in an inconspicuous location within the photograph.

It's a cool photograph.  The passing clouds add drama and the sun which, itself, really punctuates an otherwise colorless world.  You timed this well to capture the single bird directly in front of the sun but it would have been better if the bird were in focus.  Because it's not, I think the image would work better without it.

This picture has been ruined by watermarking it in such a distracting way. This is like a blatant advert rather than a what is normally understood to be watermarking. If you really want the viewer to enjoy your images you may want to be a little more discrete with your trademark protection. I can understand great photographers working for agencies like Magnum wanting to watermark. Even a lot of them don't bother. So I just don't see why a low resolution jpeg would need any watermarking.

When you post an image on this site it is supposed to generate critique on whether people like the image or dislike it. Usually, when people dislike an image, out of politeness they don't say much. Yet, when people feel the need to comment on watermarking like you have done here it means the image you took, however good it may have been has lost its purpose of existence as people are talking about something else and not the beauty of the image.

I played around with your photo a little.  One, to demonstrate how easily the obtrusive copyright information can be removed (took about two minutes) and two, to offer an example of how you might consider including all of the same information in a way that doesn't ruin your photograph.  All of the information is there, ©2013 Dhruba K Sapkota along with your web info but it's far less distracting.

Many thanks for the comments. I understand the critiques about the position of my name/copyright sign but I post the photos on my facebook page too, people copy and misuse my pictures. But, I will think about your suggestions in future.

Thanks again.

Also, I am not good in technicality. I chose the easy way. Can somebody be nice to tell me how to use watermark? Is there any site/link from where I can download it free of cost? And then how to put it in my picture?
