If you screw your eyes up and let your mind wander, you will see the lonely bride awaiting her absent groom.

I really like the central composition and the radiant light!

Compliments!

I can actually see her!!!! Thank you for pointing that out to me Alf!! You know, the sun was just 'right' on this blossom. It did not blow the other colors too much, was very grateful for that!

An A+ from the teacher, guess that means you deserve an apple or three!!! Thank you Mike, it truly means a lot when you approve of one of my images. The homework is 'worthwhile'!!!

Sincere thanks and regards, Gail

Beautiful colours and composition, Gail.  As we move into winter here in Australia, it's so lovely to view this joyful series of Spring images.  All the best, Margo.

No I haven't even tried anything with this one yet, I suppose when I think of it, it could make a very interesting ABSTRACT. When I get time, I just might try!!

I am so glad you like this one Luisa!!! I must have taken nearly 800 images that day and half of them could have been of this plant. It probably sounds rather insane to take that many, but I was practising my handholding, and it was windy. I was determined to get a shot of the stamens as more rain coming is bound to destroy what is left of the plant!!!

I often wonder what it is like for your down there. If it gets very cold. I guess Australia on a whole varies a lot depending on where you live!! I am glad it brightened your day!

Gorgeous presentation, with my favorite color. The black bg adds to the image. A vey exotic subject that does seems like a bride at the altar. The lavander blurr is beautiful. Warm regards.

That's a pretty amazing image Gail. Love the dof and color. Plus, you once again have shown your talent for composing difficult subject matter. Best regards, Rob
