Guest Guest Posted July 6, 2013 For me, this is a very "visual" photo in that it tells a story using very photographic qualities to do so. The contrast of the woman in black and the almost disappearing ship into the white of the light and snow adds to the narrative as does the perspective you've chosen whereby the street and buildings form an almost tunnel-like leading line pointing us in the direction of the main action but also allowing the woman's approach to be emphasized and to seem as if unfolding before our eyes. The black and white is unobtrusive yet effective and the composition feels framed, contained, yet expansive in the end. Link to comment
