sharif 0 Posted August 7, 2003 The photo was taken in April or May 2003 in Lisbon. I believe the street photographed lies in the district called "Alfama" but I am not sure. Please feel free to drop me a comment. I am always ready to learn more. I hope you enjoy the picture. Regards, Sharif Link to comment
marcel ligthart 0 Posted August 7, 2003 Nice scene, good job you included the people. Maybe you could've included the doves at the bottom of the frame. Now they're cut in half... Link to comment
sharif 0 Posted August 8, 2003 Thanks for your comments. Marcel I agree - at least I should have cropped to leave the doves out of the frame when post processing. Michelle, thank you for your high rating. I am glad that you enjoy the picture!! Link to comment

jimdavis 0 Posted August 9, 2003 amazing photo. When I first saw the thumb, I thought it was some abstract. Full size it reminds me of some jigsaw puzzles, it would make a good one. I don't know how you kept the perspective correct shooting down like this. Did you use perspective fix in Photoshop? I appears as it would with a shifted camera. Link to comment
sharif 0 Posted August 9, 2003 Hi Ahiyan, hi Jim, thanks for your kind komments. I did not have to correct for the perspective since I was able to hold the camera vertically without any tilt. If the street would have been totally even then half of the picture would have been the street. Since the street was aslope most of the frame was filled with the houses. modestos_modestou 0 Posted August 10, 2003 WOW !!!It looks like a painting , in fact it would look superb in oil on canvass ! One of my favourite photos and probably would have got 7/7 if not for the birds at bottom of picture. Still an excellent shot , well done Sharif Link to comment
