scotttyrrell 0 Posted April 2, 2013 I think beach scenes can often be very hard to photograph. Producing a dynamic and interesting shot with so few elements is actually very difficult, no matter how beautiful and alluring the view may seem to us. One way to do this is to use the breaking waves to add interest to the foreground as you have done here. I think however that if you had timed your exposure slightly differently you may have gotten a much better result. The edge of the receding wave acts as an excellent line into the shot that can draw the eye into and through the scene, unfortunately your line takes the eye a little way in before chucking it of stage left! All the interest in shot is squeezed into one side and consequently the image feels a little unbalanced and restricted. It is a shame as the exposure, the colours and the processing is just fine.
