gsaphoto 2 Posted March 29, 2013 Nice colors and composition. Some distraction from visible pixel on edges. Link to comment
hess 0 Posted March 29, 2013 New technique implemented today. Rendered picture should now look softer than before. Looking forward to your C&C! Link to comment
hess 0 Posted March 29, 2013 Thanks for the hint. So I guess I will re-render it overnight ... Link to comment
dave_dise1 0 Posted March 29, 2013 Very nice.Colors are great, the light area draws first attention and looks like a strong subject, the shapes are interesting. It almost looks 3d. Shading is good. The amount of negative space on the left is a little odd. The eye normally travels left to right and it seemed a far distance to travel before encountering the subject. Try flipping horizontal maybe.Looking forward to your next effort. Dave Link to comment

hess 0 Posted April 1, 2013 @Dave, thanks for you insightful comment. I find particularly interesting what you wrote about the long distance travel from left to right, because - for me - there is not too much empty space on the left side: I definitely wanted to move the subject out of the center. The idea was to guide the eye using the "brush stroke" you find starting in the upper left corner and going to the image center. @Gail, thanks for the kind words. Nice to hear this from someone as experienced as you. Link to comment
alfbailey 4 Posted July 27, 2013 Some of your images are disturbing, some dramatic and alarming, but this one is warm and comforting. (Maybe as a result of the softer technique)The colours and light give me a distinct impression of watching a candle burn in a glass across a table in cosy little restaurant, after consuming far too much wine : - )If I had known that mathematics could result in works of art like this, I'm sure I would have paid far more attention to the subject in school!Compliments & Best Regards Alf Link to comment
