alfbailey 3 Posted April 7, 2013 Many Thanks for your interest and thoughtful comments, much appreciated!I never really thought of it as having an oriental flavour, but now you come to mention it, I can see the similarities.Best Regards Alf MICHAEL I am very honoured to have even one of my images included in your favourites, so my sincere thanks to you and for your kind comments. It is interesting to note that you mention an "Asian Flair" and Richard previously mentioned a chinese painting, it has made me look at it in a completely different way. Kind Regards Alf RUUD Many Thanks for your visit and kind words, much appreciated! Best Regards Alf Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted April 12, 2013 I love softness that the clouds provide to accentuate the reflected horizon line. A wonderful capture! Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted April 13, 2013 Many Thanks for your interest and thoughtful response.I was very fortunate, the bank of fog kept rising and falling and generally moving about, it was difficult to get a clear shot, but at this point there opened a space along the whole far bank.Best Regards Alf Link to comment
tibig 0 Posted April 16, 2013 I likea lot the pale greens here. Your composition is as usual, fine. The border between (anti)-parallel worlds explored again, escape however is probably only as far as at least you are not sitting at your desk at work when you take these shots.Best Regards, Tibi Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted April 17, 2013 Many Thanks for your interest and positive feedback! Best Regards Alf TIBI Sincere Thanks for taking a look and leaving your thoughtful comments. The "Escape" aspect was indeed the fact that I wasn't sitting at my desk in work, thats what was so "Great" about it : - ) Best Regards Alf Link to comment
sherrybell 0 Posted April 19, 2013 Alf, this is wonderfully pleasing to look at, I am love lakes and reflections and this is an excellent capture. Love the softness of the clouds over the mountains as well as the clounds reflected in the lake. The line of trees and land contrast will against the softness of the scene. I like how your choice of how the trees are clumped to left with the trees becoming less as the eye travels to the right. Just a peaceful feeling looking across the lake. The big picture really reaches out to the viewer. Wonderful capture!! Best regards, Sherry Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted April 20, 2013 Thank you so much for your thoughts and positive feedback. As you may have guessed this location is one of my favourites. I have photographed it from several different angles and distances and the light is always different, but on this particular day, the fog stayed around for the entire time i was there, allowing several opportunities to get a shot when the mist parted. Its really gratifying to read that the atmosphere was communicated to you so well. Best Regards Alf Link to comment

alfbailey 3 Posted July 5, 2013 Many Thanks for your interest and thoughtful feedback. This was one of those infrequent days where the light and misted lasted for hours, I went to at least 4 locations within the Lake District area and managed to get decent shots from all of them.Best Regards Alf Link to comment
