Technically for me, excellent wim. It is images such as these that truly pull on my heart strings. Eyes that 'haunt' yet still speak of a beauty within. Thankyou for sharing this image that reminds us all to be thankful if our children are well fed, clean water to drink, safe at night, and close by our sides.

Two sisters two different looks...Well done.

No need for fancy posing here--the simplicity and directness is powerful.  The soft lighting coming from the right gives nice highlight/shadows which provides a 3-D modeling of their faces, hair and clothes.  Additional depth is achieved by not having them stand side-by-side but one in front of the other.  Piercing confrontation protected by resigned patience.  Excellent power and impact.
