agbaxter 0 Posted August 4, 2003 Nice shot, would be nice to see a bit more detail in the shadows though. Link to comment
jan_nordvaalen 0 Posted August 4, 2003 Nice, but I'm not sure I like the way you have composed this picture. I would prefer to see more of the water or the sky.. But on my screen it is detailed enough in the shade. JanJ Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 5, 2003 Don't touch it! You cropped just enough to let us focus on the ultimate reflection shot question: which is top, which is bottom? You must have evened it out with a ND filter or photoshop, as there is no discernable difference here. But it works.Well. Ansel Adam's classic McKinley shot with reflection is the other extreme--more (brightness)reflection than direct path. That turns some folks off. I ramble..take the compliment and go shoot some more. dave_holland 0 Posted August 6, 2003 A classical morning view, Hakon. Good for you for having the will power to lug a tripod all the way up there for this first-light pic. Excellent sharpness, still waters. Thanks for the memories. Link to comment
WJT 653 Posted August 6, 2003 Hakon, the purity of your methodology is certainly exemplified by this fine photograph. I especially like the smooth gradient of sky and its reflection embracing the mountain. Regards. Link to comment
hakon1 0 Posted August 7, 2003 Thanks Walter! It was one of those mornigs that fully justified the early start and 25 kilometers of gear lugging. Link to comment
carol_watson 0 Posted August 7, 2003 Nice shot! Love the dusky colors. I grew up in this area (near the Alberta/BC border), so your photos are making me miss my beloved Rockies.... Link to comment
