Each of you has expressed a fondness for my Abbey, truly appreciated!!! Fortunately you all live too far away to 'nab' her in the wee hours!!! many thanks for your very kind comments about my 'sweetness'.

Most sincerely, Gail

Thankyou both so much for your visits and very kind remarks about my dear 'friend, glad you liked this image, very hard to get her to stay put long enough to capture one!

She has bright, alert eyes -- pretty too.  I lover the way you captured her coloring.  I enjoyed reading stories about her too.  I've been wandering on the Internet, looking to adopt a dog.  Not sure what kind yet.  Not sure one or two.  Probably from a pound.

We did get Abbey from a Breeder because we had a Bichon before and I am very allergic to dogs as well as cats. There isn't really an 'allergy free' dog, but they say Bichons pose less problems for those who have allergies. She is really a wonderful pet. Just over 2 years old. She listens pretty well, loves children, she is so fun!! when I get playing with her. She sits/lays  between Jim and I on the chesterfield. When she is not napping, she usually wants a bit of attention. She'll just lay there and moan/groan till we stroke her or rub her belly. Really she is quite happy as long as one of us just has a hand touching her. Jim usually heads off to bed before me, and ever since she was a pup I would hold her in my arms like a baby. She just stars right into my eyes; if my eyes leave hers, perhaps to watch the TV, when I look back down she is still looking right into my face. If I tell her she is 'such a sleepy puppy a few times, she starts to close her eyes and go to sleep'. She sure has me trained, but I love it.

thanks Donna so much for your visit, hope you find your friend(s) soon.

best always, Gail

Hi Gail,

What a lovely portrait. The dog is so cute and your portrait is tender and soft. Excellent picture. Personally, I am more into cats but I can certainly appreciate a lovely dog when I see one. Best regards Per.

Many thanks for those very nice compliments of my 'Abbey'. She is a sweetheart and a lovely dog. She is the type of dog that loves a walk, but she is happiest just cuddling up next to you. One bonus, she does not shed!! I have always enjoyed cats, had many as a child growing up, but Mom could not figure out why my eyes were always watering, itchy, runny nose, 'et all'. Thankfully the Dr. asked if we had a cat!! I'm terribly allergic and to many dogs as well. Abbey doesn't bother me at all. Bichons are among the best of breeds that cause least allergic reactions. I would find it difficult not having a 'pet' in the house.

Beautiful portrait photo!!Nice lighting to give the wet nose so "live".

We welcomed one months ago and now she is the "center" of our life. ^^

She is just lovely Gail! I have friends who have had bichons and I have known them to be loving bundles of sweetness, joy and fluff! Your portrait of her is beautiful, as is she! I am happy you have her in your life! Hard to get the detail with all that white fur but you have done an excellent job! Thank you for sharing. :)

thank you for those lovely compliments Trisha. She is a love and is a pretty good girl to boot. She has such a fun personality. She certainly give us a lot of happiness and much to laugh about. She is very good with the grandchildren as well. We had another Bichon, she was a good girl as well, but Abbey is different. WE never thought we'd have another as good a friend as Hayley, but Abbey has changed our minds. ;-) thanks so much, Gail
