I think the black border takes away from your wonder photo, is the viewer looking through a telescope? I believe it to be good photo without the border.

Nolan,

Your critque is valid - but -

The reason for the effect is that I had been shooting images at Gulfstream for a while and admiring the work of the pro photographer at Gulfstream. Last week that pro offered a free public instructional for interested photographers, I went. I then tried to match the style of his work as shown on the Gulfstream calendar. This is the result of my mimicry.
