Hi everyone, I just bought my K20d from a wonderful member of your

forum, and now I am trying to figure it out, LOL. I am anxiously awaiting

a new lens, but in the meantime I have some old MF lenses to try out

with the camera.....here is a picture that I took with the Tamron lens,

the moth orchid is on a table in my bedroom. I wasn't sure if I could get

a halfway decent image without it being too blurry, ie. pretty hefty lens

and old hands, but I am impressed with that shake reduction for sure!!

I hope to post some more pics as time goes on! I welcome any advice :)

Joy, you did well.  The colors and detail are great.  Looks sharp to me.  The background is blurred and separated nicelyl and really makes the flowers pop.  Very nice.

Welcome to Photo.net!  I have a particular interest in your work as I am the person that sold you the Pentax K20D.  I'm excited for you!  You're off to a good start and I look forward to seeing more of your work!

Thank you Charles, and thanks SO MUCH, Kathy, for giving me this opportunity. I have always been interested in photography, and although I have no real knowledge, I think I do have 'an eye' for pictures......at least that is what one pro photographer has told me, and your comments here give me hope that I can realize my goal of becoming a good amateur photographer!!!

These are beautiful orchids. My son gave me one for Mother's Day last year. Well done, I am sure you will be off and running soon!!!!
