Young American Alligator - UNMANIPULATED and IN THE WILD (not a ZOO shot)

Well captured, but there's a couple things I might suggest. My initial take was that you put the 'gator too high up in the frame making it seem cramped. When I looked closer I noticed the reflection in the water and I'm assuming that's why you included so much foreground. But I think the image needs a bit more space above.

And regarding the reflection, it's kind of faint. If you get another chance at a shot like this and have a polarizing filter, you can use it to maximize the reflection.

Thanks Ranga!  I had to hit him with a lot of light in the swamp because he was under so much brush in the early afternoon.  Had I not used my speedlight it would have just been a drab gray lump on a log.
