A very powerful shot with great detail. The B & W really suits this shot. Well seen and executed, best wishes William.

Wonderful character shot.  I glanced at your settings and I think you have got them spot on with the F5.6 aperture and 1 / 100 shutter speed. The sharpness and textures aare almost tangible. In addition to the technical quality you have captured the essence of the character that is reflected in that far away gaze of his eyes.

Sincere Compliments & Best Regards

To all of you for commenting on this picture. Here is a bit of background to the person in the image. Jim is affectionately known in the town as "juggling Jim". He has been in the town centre for years and has become part of the fabric of Kings Lynn. He usually does not like photos being taken of him, but as I have wanted to do this for ages, I just put some money in his hand and asked him if I could take a few pictures of him. I must have caught him off guard as he agreed and all was well. Jim busks, juggles and sings to get some money for food, all of which he is not very proficient in. His guitar has one string and the neck has broken off and as such it is not very musical and certainly not in tune. I am glad you like this image, I am pleased to have captured his essence well. Kind regards, Ian

Excellent capture, love the one in colour as well, a few prayers going his way I am sure would not hurt. It is nice that you care so much about him Ian.

You know you are looking at a great photograph when you are stopped in your tracks and begin to ask yourself more and more questions about the subject. This is one of those photos.

No doubt this picture tells a story, but it also leaves you wanting to know more. Who is he and how did he get here? What have his eyes witnessed? What wisdom could he share?

Thanks for sharing.
