Yet Another Sunset At The Lake

Nikkor 20mm f/2.8D. The branch is roundabout 2 feet tall, and I'm on some rocks protruding into the water.

A sunset where you barely see the sun as a small, bright point and where half the sky is dark is certainly unusual. But I'm afraid it doesn't work for me. The decision to use the 20 mm lens wasn't the most inspired, as it shows too many things that need not be there. The focus is more on the plant at the forefront than on the sun. It might be a valid choice, but then open up the lens so that the background is clearly out of focus. The exposition, which was the more technical of the picture, is fine.

Nice colors on the shot, but the dark sky is too large on top. Would work better with the top 1/3 - 1/2 cropped off. I do like the little tree in the shot. Looks like Charlie Brown's christmas tree.
