Glencoe - Scotland

On my first trip to Scotland I decide to shot some landscapes nearby

the Glencoe village.

I was hoping for a more dramatic sky, but I hope I managed to bring

some layers out using filters.

This is done just before sunrise on the valley

The muted colours and reflections are delightful and the composition is well thought out. Scotland can be so striking in any weather. I hope you had a good time up at Glencoe its a wonderful area for Landscape Photography.

Francesco,  Scotland is a dreamland for landscape images.  We went there in 2001 before I did digital and would love to return.  I took some liberties with your image.  I removed the blue cast with auto white balance and tinkered with the shadows some.  How do you like this new look? It's not a better look, but a different take on the image.  Perhaps you have two images?  Best to you. Larry

Thank you for pointing out the blue cast.

I am now playing with white balance, the correct settings would be "Cloudy", which gives me a temp of 6500 in between the original and the auto white balance (7500 kelvin).

It looks now more in balance to me.
