marc_dilley1 0 Posted February 13, 2013 Wow. Brian this is utterly lovely, exciting and completely original. The cloud texture so perfectly contrasts with the smooth snow-covered hills it's eery. How fortunate to have the one tree there as well. But then, I am taking too much away from the hard work and creative thinking that went into crafting this image. 7/7 Link to comment

stp 6 Posted February 14, 2013 Exquisite. A single living entity in a harsh but beautiful landscape. Perfectly framed and exposed. The nature of the clouds adds so much to the look and feel of the photograph. I think it's superb. Link to comment
krpradu 125 Posted February 14, 2013 Impressive location and is for sure a lonely tree,is interesting how this huge space is seen and dimension feeling to viewer, all elements are so well balance here,no other words than admire and delight the eyes. Link to comment
alberto.prt 0 Posted February 14, 2013 What a shot ... great contrast of lines and patterns. Did you try it in grayscale? It would be interesting.Best,Alberto Link to comment
larrydgoss 1 Posted February 14, 2013 Dramatic contrast - great mix of rolling hills, cloud formation, and of course, the stark tree! Very nice! Link to comment

yu_wang4 0 Posted February 18, 2013 Great picture! But I still prefer the sky in blue color. Link to comment
stp 6 Posted February 18, 2013 Blue and white go great together, but I fear a blue sky would overwhelm the presence of the lone tree, and the lone tree is the central part, indeed the primary reason IMO, of the photograph. All white and gray, as Brian has shown it, emphasizes the tree to the maximum possible, IMO. Link to comment
ndj 0 Posted February 20, 2013 Lovely gentle curves, superb light and shadow, nicely balanced composition, and a striking sky, all add up to a brilliant image Brian! Awesome shot! All the best,Neil Link to comment
gilliebg 0 Posted February 26, 2013 Beautiful juxtaposition of the different textural qualities in the clouds and hills; for once the 'lone tree' is not a cliche but a bold statement of survival. Link to comment
WJBrowning 0 Posted February 27, 2013 I missed this shot at first, but so glad I have seen it. Excellent composition and the exposure is perfect. Love the textures in this shot, especially the sky. Well worth a 7 best wishes William. Link to comment
