gregf 0 Posted February 10, 2013 Two years ago I drove eight hours each way just to get to Babcock, and boy was it worth it, so much so that this spring I will load up and drive the 16 hours again. http://photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=1013371 You have decent flow on the water, not too much to where it burns out the photo and not too little. From the appearances, it seems to be an overcast day, which really helps with avoiding sun highlights that blow out parts of the image. I really like the low to the ground angle that you took the photo from. I would like to see more of your images of Glade Creek, please do us all a favour and post them, this is truely a West Virginia gem! Link to comment
scott_murphy5 101 Posted February 10, 2013 The slow shutter speed used to blur the water has given it an almost etherial quality, which compliments the image perfectly. Although I am more partial to black and white than color for landscapes, here I think color has a much better way of expressing the mood than black and white would have. I do think perhaps cropping some of the rocks out of the foreground would help draw your attention more to the waterfall and would help the composition a little by placing it on a third. jbellis 0 Posted February 10, 2013 Scott, I think you have something there. I little less rocks does seem to help. Link to comment
