The larger view does indeed give the impression of a more tangible feel, and allows the viewer to experience the enormous scale to a greater degree.  What a great name too, "Wadi Og" primitive sounding which suits the surroundings so very well.

I am glad you like this. Actually what I had in mind with the title is that to get here from home is a mere 2 hours drive as compared to tens of hours of flight and days of driving to get to the American deserts I visited this fall.
