It really does epitomise the "summer fun" aspect and the sharpening has worked in accentuating the blast of the sprinklers.

The colours and brightness again reminds the viewer of warmer days, but I wonder just for a minute have you tried this in B & W?  My curiosity burns because I did take shots of children playing in the fountains with similar water spray and for some reason the B & W genre looked more effective. It might be worth a try when you are next experimenting?

Very well done Gail

Best Regards

Perhaps I will try it in black and white. I think I will take it back a notch or two in processing as this was done as a fun image for Kael's Scrapbook. He can be quite the ham at times and I have a page that I know he will enjoy with what I have done with the images. If I mange to do it in black and whtie I will send you a copy to see what you think. Many thanks for your visit, input and suggestions re black and white.

Cheers for now Alf, Gail

Many thanks for your visit and good to see you saw the 'fun' aspect of this image. The processing is a bit exaggerated for that reason. Cheers for now, Gail

This image captures the sheer joy that is unique to a child's playing in the water.  Excellent detail - especially in the water droplets.

My best,

Great shot Gail. It's fun. I like the colorfulness and the shallow DOF is well used too. Good work.
