Deep in the forrest

during summer day, because it was the only moment where the sun was

shining on this secret place.

First of all, I really like this forest shot, very nicely captured. I like the contrast between light and shade, the framing and the composition of the trees within the frame. i also love the shadows. You say you took this at midday mid summer? Guess you must be way North as those shadows sure are long! Also, the side f te trunks facing us seem very bright when you'd imagine they'd be in heavy shadow? Guess this was in post, HDR? Doesn't look like it though, very natural looking shot. This is not a criticism by the way, I love the shot and am just curious! Thanks Jana for showing us your secret place.

Hello Scott, first of all, thank you for your comment, I really appreciate it. Yes, you are right, it is HDR post-processed so the trunks have more details and are brighter. I am from the Czech republic, I have never thought about it, that we have quite long shadows also in summer :)

So... where is your secret spot?! I would love to visit it! I guess it wouldn't be so secret, then. It's quite an amazing location; you don't often find bright spaces in the middle of forests. There must have been a pretty large tree that was just removed from that spot, opening up the shade. I already see little trees growing in to fill the gap. Well seen and captured.
