We seem to have brought color and black & white into the digital world, but

have mostly forgotten the long heritage of sepia tone. It arose as a way to

keep black & white silver prints from chemical change, the sepia being a

silver sulfide, that was very stable. Look at your grandparents wedding

album and chances are that there are sepia prints.
