Very dramatic lighting. Great detail and sharpness. Much better than the usual photos you get at the zoo. I might suggest desaturating the blue at the bottom and left side. Even though it's not bright it's a contrasting colour with the rest of the image and it draws my eye away from the subject. Just my 2 cents.

Looking at your histogram, this seems abnormally dark to me.  And I don't see the darkness as adding anything of pictorial value to the image.  A slight readjustment of the histogram values gives a much more varied gray scale.  I think an increase of color saturation might also help, but I did not want to confuse two issues.

Wonderful, Pekka, I like the way you made it, he is dreaming  in the dark for his meal. Love his face, his sad eyes tell the history of his life behind walls. Congrats, well done!

I very much like the darkness. But I might consider boosting the brightness and vibrance of the eyes for more drama.
