annbryan 0 Posted January 23, 2013 The sun looks warm but wind was cold! Waited for hours to get this shot. Let me know what you think. Thanks. Link to comment
alfbailey 4 Posted January 23, 2013 That swirl of cloud colour is really something to behold! And its set behind a wonderful lighthouse too! I can't fault the composition or the overall aesthetics it looks great! The only small suggestion I would make is to straighten the lighthouse, it appears to lean slightly to the right (possibly as a result of barrel distortion)Compliments & Best Regards Alf Link to comment
rshenderson 20 Posted January 24, 2013 Bryan & Ann......Nice composition. Large view looks great sitting back here with a cup of hot chocolate. Regards, Bob. Link to comment
joaodebarros 1 Posted January 24, 2013 I like this "cold" scene, lighthouses are lonely "tools"...This picture shows that in a very artistic way, well done! Best regards. Link to comment
annbryan 0 Posted January 24, 2013 Thanks for the comments! After taking shots for a while I did run and get a hot chocolate! I knew I had to stay for sunset.Alf, I leveled the picture using the water as a reference but you're right, the lighthouse is slightly leaning. I was most likely at around 18mm so I do believe t's barrel distortion. I'll see if I can straighten that out in my local copy. Thanks for the suggestion! Link to comment
JeffBryce 0 Posted January 25, 2013 Yes, the lighthouse is leaning-- naturally. Not as extreme as the Tower of Pisa, but slightly enough to annoy! I think it's right-on as is. Link to comment
laura_ragosta 0 Posted December 8, 2014 First time I went to Peggy's Cove I was about 12 or 13. I went back in June 2013 and spent lots of time at the lighthouse. I really would love to go back again. The lighthouse is definitely leaning! It's more noticeable depending on what angle you are shooting from too. I LOVE THIS SHOT!
