Hawaiian Sunset

Well mike,

It's average. Sunsets are the first step that many amateurs take towards wanting to be a photographer. There are a million "nice" sunset pictures out in the world. I feel that yours falls below the average due to the two almost invisible silhouettes in the foreground and the fact that it just doesn't hold my interest.

Take a look at the quality stuff others (not me, my stuff's still mediocre at best) have posted here. This is way below what these other hot-shots are posting. It's vey very average. Sorry mate, but that's how I see it.

I think it's a good start on sunset pics mike. Next time, I would suggest thinking about how the sihlouttes will affect the overall composition. Maybe try different angles and cropping while at the scene. Maybe even fill flash. In this case, it would have been interesting to see more of the sihlouttes and what they are doing - if anything. Keep shooting and don't let anyone's negative comments bring you down.
