jordanek 0 Posted January 15, 2013 I have been wanting to get this shot all winter and this morning all the conditions came together perfectly. Thanks for looking and for any comments and/or critiques. Link to comment
krpradu 125 Posted January 15, 2013 I like this composition with a fresh cold winter image, lenticular cloud is a so interesting formation that is true we like a lot and deserve attention as you said.Looking this I say that even the intention was for this cloud, dominant image is foreground that is very good with this crisp snow and river blue flow, just my opinion.BR Link to comment
stp 6 Posted January 17, 2013 I admire your persistence, especially in a difficult climate and terrain such as this. I basically agree with Radu: this seems to be a photograph of a small stream in a snowy landscape, with the mountain and clouds being of secondary importance. If you really want to emphasize the mountain and lenticular cloud, I think they need to be seen better and not largely hidden behind the trees and ridge. Is there such a spot along this stream where stream can be seen with the mountain looming much more prominently? If so, I'd give that a try (yes, another series of multiple visits hoping it all comes together once again). Link to comment
jordanek 0 Posted January 18, 2013 Hi Stephen. Thanks for your thoughtful comment. I agree with your comment and to answer your question there are some better comps upstream that show a bit more of the mountain. The problem on this day was that most of the snow had been trampled over the weekend so I was left with a limited number of options. Link to comment
