Some remarks:

  • The image looks tilted. Is the horizon even?
  • Why is the image so dark to the left? Did you use a polarizer?
  • Choosing a different aperture might have rendered everything more abstract (if the background seems a bit foggy, that is)

Try to develop differently by overexposing one stop and see what happens, and/or add light to the left half. It will have a colder feel to it, I think.
