There are a number of wonderful elements here. I like the background and how it helps draw the eye to "A". The lighting on her is also terrific and sculpts her form beautifully. The scene, especially as presented in B&W, gives a film noir look which works well. I think had she been looking out of the frame, away from the direct gaze to the camera, it would have added a mystery that might have made this quite special.
