esfishdoc 0 Posted January 2, 2013 This image was gathered up quite quickly. I was driving along highway 58 in Virginia outside of Suffolk and was scanning the environment during the magic hour. I wasn't looking for a subject. I was looking for light... chasing the light. It came to me in my peripheral vision but it was strong enough to stimulate a change of lanes and a U turn to go back. I pulled into a driveway and grabbed the ever present camera which happened to have the perfect lens attached for this image. In less than a minute I hammered out about 10 images right before the sun fell below a line of cloud obscuring the light. Seize the moment! Shot in Raw and processed in Lightroom and then into Silver Effex Pro and back to LR. This is a FF image without cropping. Thanks for looking. Link to comment
esfishdoc 0 Posted January 3, 2013 Thank you both.. Bob and Pierre. And "spotted" is a good way to describe how it went. When I drove by I only caught a glimpse of a piece of the scene and had no idea what it might look like but I knew it had great light. Richard Link to comment
benjamin_kim 0 Posted January 3, 2013 Hi Richard. A great capture! You're right, lighting is everything. I love the tone of this image and the detail that's present. An overall wonderful image that I have nothing else to add. Well done. Link to comment
