Ant tending to it's flock (click on image to view large)

This ant had placed it's "herd" of aphids on the underside of a leaf.

It stood guard over them and turned around with it's mandibles spread

wide ready to bite when I accidentally touched the stem of the leaf.

Excellent focus on the Ant and the Aphids, particularly impressive detail when viewed large.  The upside down view is very usual, but I think it works well!
