brent_blankinship 0 Posted December 23, 2012 Addition to port. Mostly interested in comments on the back lighting and orange filter. How well does this work and do you think it makes it much more interesting than a regular portrait image. Thanks...Brent Link to comment
JohnWebster 3 Posted December 24, 2012 My preference is for the most natural color your camera default settings can give you. Backlighting works best when you have a background color that provides separation of the hair---here the highlights lose detail and blend into the background. I am uploading my preference for this image. Foggy flared image techniques pay "honor" to mistakes that many photographer made in the past before they used lens hoods or realized that a better image could be obtained by keeping sunlight off the lens. I used levels and curves in photoshop to make the adjustments. I hope this helps. Good luck. Link to comment
brent_blankinship 0 Posted December 29, 2012 Thanks John for your input. I intentionally took the image with the sun placed to create this effect. I added a filter and did post work to take away the natural colors and come up with an image out of the norm so to speak. Thank you so much for your input, it is very much appreciated...Brent Link to comment
