The Windows (1)

The windows in the Arches National park are quite a massive landmark.I find the stairs in front of them rather disrupting the landscape, Iam not really sure they so much improve accessibility.

Yes, I tend to agree with you, the presence of the steps do disrupt the harmonious ladnscape with their harsh lines.  I do prefer the shot you have without them. Maybe they were introduced as a matter of preventing erosion rather than ease of access? I like the cloud patterns on this one though and agan the people add scale to this amazing rock feature.

I do not know about the effect of stairs on erosion, but you could be right.
