Taken with Canon SX50HS 1200mm focal length, handheld shot 1/800s f/6.5 ISO 400 processed with Rawtherapee and Gimp. All comments/suggestions/critiques most welcome Link to comment

JamieK 1 Posted December 2, 2012 amazing. it's good that you kept the aperture wide open with so many pixels on such a small sensor. f/6.5 pushes the diffraction limit, i'm afraid. if you ever do this again, it would be interesting to try one at 1200-mm-equivalent and one at 600-mm-equivalent, wide open as well. you could then downsample the 1200 to be the same resolution as the 600, and see which was sharper. you might be surprised. best, jamie Link to comment
