A marvelous portrait... Great use of natural light!

This is well worth seeing blown up or even full screen if possible. There is a delicacy in light in this depiction of the 'implied nude'. Such a natural feel to the composition that light that the everydayness almost belies the technical understanding of light and metering that had gone into this photograph. Well done indeed.

Portraits and nudes by the window are always something special, so is this one!

 This is a marvelous composition - easily the best window nude I have seen.  The single eye immediately captures the attention, and no matter what details of the picture one looks at, that eye recaptures one's  vision before a different direction is explored.  There is a kind of sympathy, yet contrast  between the sig-zag diagonal line from that eye, down the hairline to the neck, over the slope of the breast and down the tummy with the weathered and badly sagged inner brick wall.  

 In turn that contrasts so highly with the technically correct bricks outside the window.  Those rough and crumbled textures contrast so well with the smooth skin tones of the model.  And the broken window, so much a contrast of violence with the texture of the leather jacket and the smooth skin of the model.

 And always we return to that dominant eye, peering outward, looking - for what? or whom?
