I love how you managed to get the side view of his 'eye'!!! and her looking up at him. An excellent capture Sherry and this one gave me a bit of a chuckle as well. It is that time of year, and 'love is in the air'. Must be great to have a 'Harem'!!! There has been an article in our paper that there was at least 14 car accidents on the country roads related to deer/moose in reference to them being 'in Season' and on the move because of the hunters. Unless someone really needed the food, it makes me very sad to think of these beautiful creatures being killed. I realize they can overpopulate in some areas and become a danger, but I imagine where you are, it is not such a problem, they must be 'right where they belong'. Lovely set of images Sherry!

Thank you Gail, they are grand and beautiful animals and I was lucky to get some shots of this guy interacting with his ladies.  I like this side of photographing this majestic elk's interactions rather than just shots of him making the perfect male elk pose for the photographer.

Last time I saw here On PN few images with this subject,but no one was so natural as your,large view also here sows the beauty of this splendid nature creation,is so powerful and this is a so delicate moment indeed.
