sharpywarpy 0 Posted November 12, 2012 Taken in 1992, in the late fall. I was attracted by the passage of time and it's effect on the fencepost and the wire. The rust, the mold, the deep furrows. The pine had been long since transformed into impervious lighter, a phenomenon in which nitrogen from the air permeates the wood. It becomes very heavy and hard. Impenetrable to insects or decay. Notice the gnarled wire done by a determined homesteader with good intentions generations ago, alas, now lost. Link to comment
