Your title expresses very well what I see:  Not looking at each other, she with closed eyes, the not-so-friendly act of grabbing and pulling on his tie, one in focus but the other out of focus -- this is not a typical "happy couple" photograph.

I definitely agree with Stephen on this one, a very unique take on couples.  I think it's very well done, not only technically but it's really creative.  I think her closed eyes and tie-tugging could also be construed as sensual as if she were uninterested in the portrait session and had something else on her mind.  Well done.

I like the way this was lit, with soft lighting from the left. The lady in focus instead might be better since it looks like she's the one doing the pulling. Nice shot nonetheless.
