hopsage 0 Posted November 8, 2012 You have just the right motion blur here. Not so much that the scene becomes overly dreamy, but enough to present very strong lines. I very much like the disruption of these lines by the horizontal waves at the top, which is the image's one ethereal element. Lovely color, too. Link to comment
krpradu 125 Posted November 8, 2012 You have seen so well this rocks and water effect around, with exposure you did result is a very nice image. Link to comment
johnfarrar 31 Posted November 8, 2012 Ian - this is a beautiful image, both conception and execution excellent. Interesting that the polariser has worked so well on the water but the foreground rock has what look like reflections. I've tried trimming just a little off the lhs and can't decide if centering the rocks a little more weakens or strngthens the image. Link to comment
stp 6 Posted November 8, 2012 This is a beautiful graphic -- two solid points surrounded by movement, and a palette of gold and white. While you may have chosen the shutter speed primarily for the water flowing on the sloping beach, I also like it for its rendering of the breaking wave in the background. Link to comment
donbright 706 Posted November 10, 2012 Excellent rendition of the genre. Not going to get much better than this. I like the positioning of the rocks, it contributes to the flow, not literally as the water does that, but is draws the eye to flow where it goes, and the left hand stream counters it intern centering it. Yes, its the waiting for the water to back flow, and catching it with the appropriate shutter speed. Congratulations. Link to comment
