I'd love to hear your thoughts and comments on this shot. Very very much

photographed place where there's hard to find new perspectives, so only

choice is trying to do it right :)

First let me say that I love what you are trying to do here and that this could have been one of my shots if I had been at the same spot so I am going to critique it as such.

I think that there is a confusion of subject matter; we have the bridge the lamp posts, the castle-like building in the distance, the white water, the spray, the big rock, the curved tree on the left. Then there is the confusion of contrast; the very dark areas bottom left, top right, middle left, the light grey in the middle band and the high-key white in the lower middle band.

One has to have a vision of what one is trying to do when taking the shot because being at a very dramatic place where one's senses are filled with stimuli actually mitigates against taking a good photograph.
