I don't do portraits, so take this with a grain of salt.  I like the lighting, especially her hand versus her face.  I only wish her hair were more defined against the background rather than having only a small portion above her forehead visible.  But then again, I can see how this limited lighting creates a particular mood (somewhat darker, more serious), and I suspect it's exactly what you were after.

Excellent shot. Great use of low key lighting. Pose and editing is perfect. The only thing I might do differently (and this is miniscule) is drop the guitar to about chin level. Might provide something of a vertical sweep to the right culminating at the eyes. Great image!

Wonderful shot.  Also agree with Robert's suggestion of perhaps lowering the guitar neck a bit providing her hand remains visible. Either way, very nice.

Thank you very much, much appreciated.  I do like the idea of dropping the guitar slightly and having her hair stand out more from the background.  She wanted this image for a CD cover and requested it be 'raw' - her exactly as she is.
