Post-in-the-Sea

It's a bit of a cliche that everybody's done, but I thought I'd join in as well.

The quality and color of the light works very well.  I like the blue-green of the water against the warm color of the post: a nice complimentary color scheme.  

However, the placement of the post dead center in the frame makes for a bit of a static image that does not stimulate the viewers mind. Perhaps the horizontal frame fights the vertical post.  I offer an alternative suggestion.

The image is very good regarding colors and lighting, but i agree with Jerry: the central position of post don't works very well. A composition more dynamic (vertical, horizontal or square) with post positioned in accordance with the rule of thirds, would gives interest to the scene. Best regards.
